PRODUCT DESIGN Tivu, Foscarini

Inspired by the seamless beauty of cathode ray tubes, Tivu is a contemporary lighting system honouring televisions from another era. The curved "screen" shape features a 16:9 digital-age proportion with ultra-gloss, diamond-coated finish, creating distorted room reflections—a playful commentary on TV as observed. When illuminated, it casts a soft wall halo, resembling a dilated pupil that absorbs and reflects surrounding light.
